Cattle Feed Plant

A cattle feed plant is a modularised installation that provides an integrated facility to manufacture feed for livestock in a nutritionally balanced manner, particularly for dairy and beef cattle. Cattle feed plants are important for improving animal health, milk production, and productivity on the farm. Cattle feed plants can be configured through processes of raw material intake, grinding, mixing, pelleting, cooling, and bagging. The facilities may range in size and scale of operations from small, manual, portable feed plants to large, fully automated commercial cattle feed plants, with scales for small plants of approximately 500 kg/hr and larger, industrial facilities of 20 tonnes or more per day. Power requirements for these plants vary from 3 HP for small units to 100+ HP for industrial units.
